Global warming in a net zero CO2 scenario after 2050 – a study with FaIR

Global warming is a severe environmental problem which caused by human activities such as damage to the environmental an overuse of resources. In order to control the global warming under 2°C, net zero, especially net zero CO2 has been a goal that must be pursued. The net zero is a goal that all the countries can reduce the emission of greenhouse gases to zero. This article uses FaIR climate model to study the effect of different greenhouse gases on temperature anomaly so that to find the main contributor. The effect of net zero CO2 also be estimated. The model concluded that carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels is the most important contributor to global warming, and zero emissions of CO2 would greatly help mitigate it. In addition, global warming is an inevitable trend, so while reducing CO2 emissions to mitigate the global warming, adaptation to the long-term global warming can also be combined with mitigation.

Sustainable architectural practices: Integrating green design, smart technologies, and ultra-low energy concepts

This comprehensive study delves into the integration of green building practices, smart technologies, and ultra-low energy consumption strategies in modern architecture. Through a meticulous examination of existing green buildings, the implementation of smart technology, and the achievements of ultra-low energy structures, this paper highlights the pivotal role these practices play in promoting environmental sustainability and operational efficiency. By analyzing life cycle assessments, energy efficiency models, and the application of renewable energy sources, we provide a quantitative and qualitative overview of the benefits and challenges associated with sustainable architectural practices. The analysis reveals significant environmental impacts, including reduced carbon emissions and lower water usage, alongside notable economic benefits such as decreased operational costs and enhanced property values. Furthermore, the paper explores the technological integration of smart systems, emphasizing the importance of innovative solutions for optimizing building performance. Through detailed case studies and real-world applications, we demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of these integrated approaches in achieving sustainable, efficient, and comfortable living and working environments. This study not only underscores the necessity of adopting sustainable practices in architecture but also provides a roadmap for future developments in the field.

Study on the pilot emission right trading on the transformation and upgrading path selection of manufacturing enterprises

This paper takes A-share manufacturing listed companies from 2002 to 2020 as the research sample, proposes the service optimization effect of emissions trading on enterprises extending downstream and the innovation incentive effect of upward climb, and uses DID method to study the impact of emissions policy on the choice of manufacturing industry transformation and upgrading path. Through empirical studies, it was found that the emissions trading policy improves the embedded service level of manufacturing enterprises, strips off the blended services; however, it fails to significantly improve the green innovation level of manufacturing enterprises, and its innovation incentive effect fails to appear. The findings provide a theoretical basis for improving the emission right allocation mechanism, establishing a sound environmental regulatory system, and promoting the development of the economy in the direction of green and sustainable development.

Analysis of the spread distance of dandelion and invasive species

This paper aims to investigate the distance of seed dispersal in diverse environments and explore the intricate relationship between invasive species and dandelions. Specifically, this paper intends to focus on the scenario where a single dandelion, in its “puffball” stage, is situated within an open one-hectare plot of land. The objective is to develop a mathematical model capable of predicting the dissemination of dandelions throughout 1, 2, 3, 6, and 12 months. This model will help people understand the temporal dynamics of dandelion expansion in a controlled setting. Furthermore, for the invasive species model, this paper proposes to initially identify and select several species known for their invasive properties. Subsequently, we will utilize modeling techniques to calculate an impact factor, which quantifies the extent to which these invasive species affect their environment.

Seattle's climate: The effects of global warming and possible remedies

Global warming-induced climate change is a severe worldwide issue that has far-reaching effects on the ecology and biological evolution of the planet. Numerous experts study how the climate is changing globally and even in particular areas. This essay's topic is an analysis of Seattle's climate change using literature and data. To determine if Seattle's climate has altered recently, this thesis first examined the city's precipitation, temperature, sea level, and urban excessive heat from four different perspectives. Next, using data on climate change, examine the connection between climate change and global warming. The findings: There is a connection between global warming and climatic change in Seattle. The conclusion is that people continue to underestimate how much the environment is deteriorating due to societal development. For the sake of the planet and all life on it, humanity should strike a balance between environmental preservation and economic growth. Nonetheless, the goal of this thesis is to shed light on environmental changes occurring in Seattle and to identify and address issues that improve the planet.

Discussion on the effect of sex ratio change in lamprey

Objective: To study the impact of the change of sex ratio of lamprey on the whole ecosystem, and to provide guidance for the stability of the ecosystem, the conservation of species diversity, and the green and sustainable development of the ecological environment in the future. Methods: In the first step, the logistic regression model was used to study the population dynamics of lamprey from the aspects of birth rate, mortality rate, food source rate and dependent population, and the impact of sex ratio change on the ecosystem was observed. In the second step, the impact of sex ratio change on the stability of the whole ecosystem was studied through the adjoint model. In the third step, the logistic regression model was used to construct a differential equation describing female and male lamp eels in different environments to distinguish the different sexes of lampreys. In the fourth step, an ecological dynamics model was established that comprehensively considered factors such as intermediate hosts, biological subpopulations, environmental conditions, and self-competition to fully understand the impact of changes in the sex ratio of lampreys on ecosystem stability. Finally, the sensitivity analysis of the model was carried out, and the model was evaluated and expanded. Results: A model was established to affect the population dynamics of lamprey, the gender differentiation of lamprey and the influence of lamprey on ecosystem stability. Conclusion: It was found that changes in the sex ratio of lamprey populations would affect their own reproduction rate and population size, the survival and reproduction patterns of other species, and the stability of the whole ecosystem.
